Kenshi: Less Glam, More Apocalypse

Kenshi is an extremely harsh survival game that has an rts fighting style based on RNG and the character’s stats. It is a non forgiving game that you can easily spend over 100 hours grinding in before you reach end game level stats. Now that I’ve explained the grind in this game, let’s get into the nitty gritty details of the world
It’s a post apocalyptic game set after a travesty that eliminated most of the advanced technology has been destroyed. The wasteland is peppered with animals that easily hunt mankind, like Gutters, Gorillos, and even packs of wild Bonedogs.
There are also a diverse cast of races to base your character off of; there's the Hive, the Shek, Skeletons, Scorchlanders, and Greenlanders. Greenlanders and Scorchlanders are humans, the Shek are a horned warmongering race, and the Hive is a faction that are connected by a hive mind to serve their queen, but sometimes Hivers fall through the cracks and seperate from the hive mind.
Now let me get into my experiences with the game,

I was turned on to the game by watching content creators on both Youtube and Twitch play the game. So far, as of the Steam winter sale, I’ve put about 60 hours into the game, I’m not very far into the game though since that was over two or three games (It’s pretty harsh, and I implemented way too many mods at the beginning.)
After about 40 hours of piddling with mods I was able to fully dive in with some pretty ridiculous mods. I have a mod that puts my favorite recruit in every city (I currently have 4 Beeps). I also implemented some mods to beef up both bandits and factions to make the game more challenging.

I managed to amass a gaggle of misfits that included; a giant direwolf, two fungi (modded in), seven skeletons, 10 humans, 2 sheks, and 7 hivers (Four of which being Beep). While that may seem impressive, it's only because I didn’t know how best to play the game (Most groups are around 5 or 6 before actually settling down).
So, my crew ended up settling in a way too small home with way too many mouths to feed. It may be bad right now, but hopefully things will be better when my crew of misfits take over the kenshi world. It’s much more likely that my hero will end up dying in a ditch alongside his motley crew.
Be sure to get the game and let me know how your first run goes!!
