My name is Brandon Fenters, I am currently the Director of Video Operations at Longwood University. I have been working on Longwood broadcasts for the past 4 years. I summarized my experiences at Longwood here on this webpage. Through that I have gained experience directing live broadcasts, videography, experience with a 3Play replay machine, experience with both LiveBook and Viz Trio graphics. I also assist in the creation of creative video content.
Broadcasting Experience
Longwood Vs MACU Highlight Reel
This is an example of the live highlight reels that I make during our broadcasts. This is made alongside setting up replays for on air use, as well as keeping all plays tagged correctly in case of a referee review. This game was an awesome show of athleticism by all athletes involved.
Longwood VS Duquesne: Post Game Interview
After this game, and all Women's Basketball games, my team and I film and input replays live. We interview Rebecca Tillett, the head coach, and a star player from the game. This is an interview with Tillett. All of this is recorded after the game, and all effects are added in live.
Longwood vs Gardner-Webb
This is the first round of the Big South Championship between Longwood and Gardner-Webb. This is a game that I worked Replay for, so this is a highlight reel that I set up during the game while playing replays live on stream. This was an intense game, and a crushing loss for Longwood. But still a lot of athleticism from both sides. This broadcast was also the best broadcast for our fall sports.
Creative Video Projects
I had the opportunity to work on a multitude of broadcasts that aired on ESPN+, I also had the opportunity to work on some creative videos for the Longwood Women's Basketball team. I filmed and edited two projects for them. One was a sights and sounds practice, the other was a media day highlight. You can find both below.
2022 WSOC Season Preview
We shot this a few weeks before the season started, and preluded the Longwood Lancers soccer season with a look behind the scenes at the team.
Sights and Sounds, Longwood WBB Practice
This is a video from Longwood WBB's first practice of the year. I filmed this with a coworker of mine. I edited this together on top of the other responsibilities that I have in the broadcast room. This video showcases how well the team works together, and captures the hype that everyone in that room was feeling for the oncoming 2021-2022 basketball season.
Media Day, Longwood WBB
I filmed this event with my supervisor, Ian Jett, and edited this together on top of other responsibilities that I had for the rapidly approaching basketball season. Through the lens of Akila Smith, a senior with Longwood's WBB team, I was able to see how exactly they prepare and celebrate media day as a team. There were a lot of great moments that just weren't able to fit in the final product. This video was a lot of fun to work on.
